The Little Art Hub (LAH) is an artist run space initiated and sustained by a collective of creatives based in and around Galashiels. Our activities and events happen through partnerships with local organisations such as TD1 Youth Hub, CABN, Connecting Threads, Transform Arts CIC, Health in Mind and Energise Galashiels Trust as well as with freelance artists and grassroots community groups.

We are always open to hearing ideas and proposals for workshops, exhibitions, events or meetings, head to our 'Use our hub'  HERE to find out more.

This project received invaluable support from Energise Galashiels Trust through ‘Build a Better Gala’ multi-year funding from South of Scotland Enterprise and Scottish Borders Council. The primary objective is to explore new ways of enhancing the town centre’s vibrancy, attracting more footfall to local businesses, and bolstering community well-being.

You can read our Safeguarding Policy HERE

Our vision is to develop an ambitious, inclusive space that sparks imagination in the heart of Galashiels, presenting fresh, exciting ways of engaging with our town centre. Through our successful Crowdfunder campaign and with support from the Haywood Sanderson Trust and Glenpark Fund we have initiated an ongoing programme of events, workshops and gatherings to Imagine Galashiels asking: What If creativity was at the heart of the town centre?

Our aim is to offer a welcoming space for a diverse range of community members including, but not limited to: young and older people, the LGBTQ+ community, the creatively curious, families, everyday high-street shoppers, those who feel disengaged from traditional community spaces and activities, looking to make connections outside of traditional social activities available in Galashiels and those less likely to benefit from funded

Little Art Hub (LAH) is:

A physical space where local community groups and third sector organisations can meet and hold events and most importantly, a space that connects and engages with our diverse local community and visitors to the area

An Incubator space for local and national artists to experiment and try out ideas in a public facing space.

A safe space for children, young people, families, carers and friends to gather, meet, chat, laugh and engage in creative activities in the heart of their community.
